Knowledge as a Right
We believe access to education should not be determined by geography or financial standing. Open-sourcing our work is a moral imperative, not just a development strategy.
The framework
We believe access to education should not be determined by geography or financial standing. Open-sourcing our work is a moral imperative, not just a development strategy.
We build in public. Our decisions, financial allocations, and architectural plans are openly accessible. We believe trust is earned through absolute honesty.
Open source shifts power from locked institutions to individuals. We design tools that communities can adapt, localise, and own entirely for themselves.
Community Standard
A project is only as healthy as its community. When you participate in QmentoEdu, you agree to uphold these standards.
We welcome contributors from all backgrounds and identities. Treat everyone with respect. Harassment, discrimination, and exclusionary behaviour are strictly forbidden and will result in immediate removal.
Assume good intent. Critique the code, not the person. Provide actionable, polite feedback. We are all here to learn, build, and improve together.
Many of our contributors are participating in open source for the very first time. We actively foster an environment where asking elementary questions is encouraged, and mentorship is freely given.
Every pull request, issue, and discussion should serve our ultimate goal: making education universally accessible. The mission always comes first.
If you experience or witness unacceptable behaviour, report it immediately. All complaints will be reviewed and investigated confidentially.
